IIleft Face book in February of this year while there were--i think-- good reasons for doing same (some borne out by recent headlines)and i while have enjoyed reclaiming the time,i have missed the encouragements and connections with dear friends at this very difficult time in my life. I have some Great friends!
there are some friends who post thoughts gleaned from their daily meditations with God or who share spiritual insights that i really "like" and need. Occassionally I really need to ask for prayers in the heat of some moment and Facebook is a good way for me to reach out and get that help
anyways, I am baaack and need my friends now more than ever. I missed you. please find me again.

Kindred Spirits
I am sure I have written about this before but it has been so powerful to me of late that it bears reflecting on further.
When you are in the family of god it is so amazing to experience the common spirit and love of God through others in the family and the love you feel for those others!
I have the unbelievable blessing of having dear friends who have known the Lord for decades and who have visited us and helped us. their very presence brings joy and comfort and encouragement regardless of what is said or done -- i think it is the shared spirit of God that dwells in each of our earthly temples that somehow magically commune with each other when we spend time together.
it is sort of like when elizabeth meets mary and the pre-born John is filled with the Holy spirit and leaps for Joy in the womb. I get a lift when near others who have this same Spirit in them.
sometimes when together, one or both of us --likely led by that same spirit begin audibly praying for one another or thanking or praising God. sometimes there are tears... others not. but it is always beautiful.
I think this experience and even talk about same is foreign and strange to many people-- even many who are believers in some sense i think this is sad and many are missing out if they don’t feel the unity and community that the Spirit of God brings to those that love Him!
I am so grateful for all my brothers and sisters!

always hope
But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.
JESDS CAME at just the right time in history when he was “supposed to as dictated by the father.
and i believe that there is always hope since GOD CAN COME AND INTERVENE OR HEAL AT ˆANY TIME in our situations no matter how threatening or urgent.
When talking about a God who created the heavens and the earth in days and to whom “one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day—there is always time and capacity to act. there is, therefore always hope.
there is rarely a day when i don’t use that thought to combat some aggressive and threatening dart thrown at me by my mind or my doctor a news story or some other well-meaning voice.
are you in a tough spot?
nothing is impossible with our God . there is always time and always hope

Dreaming of Worship
I used to lead worship in a local church that had a high committment to authentic praising of our God and a high appreciation for music in this WillieNelson-esque community.
It was both challenging, fun and scary (leading others in worshipping a holy God when I am such a sinful and unholy thing is serious business)
But it was awesome. having others join you in a “sacrifice of praise” with their voices and instruments is an exhilarating experience.
And worshipping God is --paraphrasing the pastor of that church--“the one time when things are most in their proper position in the universe: us giving honor, tribute, thanksgiving and acknowledgement to the Creator of all things and the Author and Source of our salvation, while simultaneously acknowledging our own shortcomings, incapacities to do anything without him and our desperate need of his grace.
Nothing could be more natural.
Well, last night I dreamed that I was back in that church leading that team and congregation in a favorite song we used to play. But my left hand which has been stiff and inflexible and unable to play a note on the keyboard since my last surgery in December has been hindering mefor awhile. towards the end of the song, feeling and motion began returning to that hand. It was and will remain a great dream and memory and hope.
Thank you for that dream, Lord, and the other good reports this week.
And thank you for the latest addition to the Droman Family (Rob getting married as i write this now!)...
Your faithfulness and care for us is incredible and worthy of all of our praise.
Thank you, Lord.

May Update
It has been a while since I have posted anything; yet despite the fact that i don't have anything even remotely profound, insightful or inspiring to say, here is a brief update.
health
i am getting more feeling in foot and hand over last six weeks as the brain swelling apparently continues to abate. I started iv Avastin treatments bi-weekly and this is a pretty non -toxic treatment that has some promise in Glioblastoma in some patients and so far, so good
I have started Occupational therapy to help get more things moving. Many have signed up to take me to some of these appointments. check here to see rides still needed
My Spirit
The Lord has been good and continues to encourage me by providing me peace in the passing storms of symptoms, fear, depression and worry. he is faithful.I have also indulged in numerous incredible sermons online from Francis Chan, John Ortberg, Halim Suh (Austin Stone) and others. very challenging. How incredible that we have these resources available for free, anywhere, anytime.
Have a recommendation of someone i should listen to? send me a note.
Ministry
we are continuing to pursue organizing BG Ministries ("big god") to assist those affected by cancer. I feel it is an inspired and big vision that can help a large number of folks get help and Godly perspective during the most challenging trial of their life ( for most). check it out and consider helping us (www.biggodsmallcancer.org)
Note "Droman Ministries, Inc" has been renamed "BG Ministries, Inc" all proceeds go to help other affected by cancer.
I am even harder to "like"
Since I have bailed on Facebook I i am more disconnected from some than others. if you think of me add a note to this post ( i get those in email) or drop me a note at david@dromanwatch.com or send a text to 512-695-9793... it is always great to hear from my friends.conclusion
in summary, God is good, faithful, Strong and present. He has given me many good days and nights and steps and breaths, Thanks be to Him and to you all for your prayers and caringDavid

The Lord of hosts
The Lord of hosts
Nearly 2000 years ago Jesus told his disciples not to worry, that if he goes away he goes to prepare a place for them.
what kind of a place do we think that he has gone to prepare?
Might the same God That created the oceans and the sand dunes and the The mountains and rivers, beaches, palm trees and clouds cand the starry nights and every beautiful vista prepare a spectacular place for us?
It took a good friend to point out to me that God might prepare a spcific place for each of us Not necessarily some general place, but a unique place designed and furnished for Each of us?—tA place designed for our specific desires and joys— Tailored to our specific needs and Loves
Doesn't a good host anticipateand prepare for the desires and needs of their guests?
Might not Jesus, the Lord of hosts—the one from whom all good gifts originate do the same for each of us? doesn’t he know our every need? and what gives us joy?
When you are affected by cancer and are locationally tied down because of illness or treatments, the monotonoy and routine of it all can be depressing and chsllenging in its own right for all affected and their garegivers. people need a break... And hose fighting a cancer battle definately need breaks—and often times, finances are tight and the affected can't afford to take the breaks they need.
It was vital and special time for us and we could not be more grateful.
Thank youJan,Alex, Sandy and Scott.
May God continue to bless you in all that you do
